The Southern Wings, based in Winder, Georgia (otherwise know as "The Motorcickle Capital of the World"),
is a local Chapter of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association or GWRRA. We belong to the Southeast Region
(A), Georgia District of this wonderful organization that promotes "Friends for Fun, Safety and Knowledge" for
the owners of Honda Gold Wing and Valkyrie motorcycles. (Although all motorcyclist are welcome!)
Winder, Georgia
is located about 1 1/2 hours east of Atlanta and 30 minutes northwest of Athens.
This beautiful and scenic area is a great location to start (and end) motorcycle rides throughout northeast Georgia and beyond. Even though we're based in Winder, we
have members from all over attend our Chapter get-togethers. We come from Lilburn and Duluth,
Gainesville and Commerce, Social Circle
and Monroe, Athens and Bishop, Winterville, Winder
and all points in between to have fun, share friendship and, most importantly, ride motorcycles!

the 1st Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM at the Golden Corral, 163 East May Street, in Winder, Georgia. If ya want
to eat before the meeting, please come join us for dinner at 6:00 PM.

You can find it on the Bulletin Board page. Additional newsletters from Region "A" and the National Rider Education Program have been added there as well so you've
got some reading to check up on. I've also updated the Event Schedule, so find out what your Southern Wings are up to!
There are lots of other things to check
out on your website too. There is an update about Lamar on the Bulletin Board page; some new items sale in the Classified; and pictures from the recent Leadership Training Class and Road Captains Course on the Photo Album page. I'm hoping to add some pictures soon form the trip to Nova Scotia that a few of our members went on... when they get
around to sending them too me. (Hint, hint.)
We'll Wing Ding is over - all except
for the credit card bills. We had a great turn out with over 40 Chapter members, by my count, making an appearnce sometime
during the event. I've posted some pictures in the Photo Album page as sent by Debbie Melcher and Faith Gann. I'd love to post your pictures too, so send them on to me! I won a set of J&M fairing speaker upgrade at the dance party on Saturday night...for a 2006 or later GL1800. Won't
do me much good on my 1500, so guess what will be up for auction at next years Sweetheart Poker Run?
